Our summer internship programme offers a fantastic opportunity to develop both your understanding of private banking together with some of the skills you'll need to be a successful Private Banker.
You'll start by learning the fundamentals in an initial classroom-based training period, after which you'll spend at least one day a week on further training to help you develop transferable skills such as presentation and teamworking.
For the rest of your internship you'll be aligned to a Private Banking team. Here you'll be encouraged to network across the Barclays Wealth business, in areas such as Product, Wealth Advisory, Wealth International, Wealth Intermediaries, Philanthropy, Behavioural Finance and Business Development - to name just a few.
You'll see how things work from the inside, get exposure to clients and gain plenty of hands-on experience. You'll see how we run every aspect of our business from client attraction to maintaining client relationships - you'll even get a chance to experience what it's like to make a pitch.
