Can I send my CV/resumé instead of registering online?
No. To make the application process fair and consistent, all
applications must be made online via this website. We don't accept
any other form of application.
How long does it take to apply online?
Your initial application should take less than 30 minutes to
complete. You may find it useful to have an electronic copy of your
CV/resumé to hand so you can copy and paste the relevant parts into
your application.
Please always attach a full version of your CV/resumé (including
contact details, education etc) to your application, even though
some of these details may also be on your application form.
I've applied to Barclays Wealth/Barclays Capital before. Can I reapply?
If you've applied to Barclays Wealth or Barclays Capital in a
previous academic year you may reapply. You must submit a new
application and provide details of any previous applications.
Please note that you can only apply once in each academic year to
either Barclays Wealth, Barclays Capital or Barclays Corporate and
we have mechanisms in place to detect multiple and duplicate
applications.
If I've applied to Barclays Wealth can I also apply to Barclays Capital or vice versa?
No. You can only make one application per academic year and this
must be to either Barclays Wealth or Barclays Capital - you're not
allowed to apply to both and we have mechanisms in place to detect
multiple applications. If we find out during the application
process that you've applied to both, only your first application
will remain valid.
Could you please send me a brochure about Barclays Wealth?
A PDF of our brochure is available to download here. To make sure you have all the
information you need we're also holding presentations at a number
of campuses, or you can contact your university's careers
service.
I've made an error on my application. What should I do?
To make it easy for you and us, you can use your username and
password to access your data and edit your personal details
section. We will only accept one application per candidate and have
mechanisms in place to detect multiple and duplicate
applications.
I have recently changed my email address. How can I update my details?
You can use your username and password to access your data and
edit your application. Please note that your username will remain
as your original email address.
My circumstances have changed. How do I remove myself from the application process?
Please withdraw your application using the online system.
If Barclays Wealth does not visit my campus, will my application still be considered?
Yes. Anyone can apply and all applications are considered
against the same criteria, regardless of which university you
attend.
What should I do if I have a disability that may affect my performance at any stage of the recruitment process?
Barclays Wealth is committed to Equal Opportunity Employment.
We'll make reasonable adjustments to the selection process where
necessary. If you think you have a disability that may impact on
your performance anywhere in the selection process, you will get
the opportunity to speak to our team during the application process
or at one of our many campus events.

Can I defer my place for a year?
No. You should only apply if you're ready to take up employment
in 2012
When will I meet someone from the business?
Depending on your university, you may meet someone from the
business at a recruiting event, or as part of the selection
process.
Can I work outside my country of study/residence?
Yes, but please note that work permit regulations vary between
the different locations. You should be aware that the granting of

Globally, immigration laws are becoming ever more stringent and
whilst we do accept applications from those needing a work permit
these are becoming very hard to obtain in certain locations. We'll
do everything we can to obtain work permits, but cannot guarantee
these.
Can I apply to more than one business area or more than one location?
We'd like you to research the opportunities available on the
website, so you can make the right decision during the application.
You may only apply to one business area and one location. You
cannot apply to Barclays Wealth and Barclays Capital - you must
decide before applying which business you feel you're more suited
to.

The summer programme normally starts in June for 10 weeks. Our
full-time graduate programme starts in September 2012.

immigration laws.
Globally, immigration laws are becoming ever more stringent and
whilst we do accept applications from those needing a work permit,
these are becoming very hard to obtain in certain locations.
